A-22LS
A-22LS — major modification of A-22 airplane. The airframe geometry is the same like that of A-22L. And the structure was redesigned for the maximum take-off weight of 600 kg for the landplane and 650 kg for the floatplane version in accordance with the Standards Specification for the LSA (Light Sport Airplane) category.
Due to the strict requirements to the weight, fatigue life and manufacturability of the parts the flight control system and landing gear were significantly modified. The wing obtained all-metal skin on top.
The nose landing gear leg was designed to incorporate a gas shock absorber that makes taxiing more comfortable. The main landing gear springs are made of aluminum alloy. Aerospace inch hardware (AN hardware) is used in the airplane structure.
